A web service is a software-powered resource or functional component whose capabilities can be accessed at an Internet URL. The use of Extensible Markup Language (XML) provides applications the standardization needed to link up on-demand.

Web services allow different applications from different sources to communicate with each other without time-consuming custom coding and because all communication is in XML, web services are not tied to any one operating system or programming language. How can a Web Service be useful to my company's processes?
A web service eliminates duplicate data entry and errors, while saving your organization time and money. Utilizing an end-user interface developed by eMASON, information is "mapped" from fields within one system to matching fields in another. This data map is then saved and forms the basis of a process run (automatically handled when needed by a web service) which gathers the data from the old system, and sends it to the new system. The Clarifire Application Data Connectors – Fannie Mae (FNMA) Loss Mitigation Connector.
The FNMA Connector provides the ability to transmit standard loan information from your system of record to the Clarifire application. This connectivity eliminates dual data entry and errors, reduces the cost of doing business and results in the automatic update of the user’s system of record as well as HSSN. Since the Clarifire application is certified with FNMA workout rules for Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), standard loan modification, Home Saver Advance (HSA) and pre-foreclosure (short sale) workout types, workout results are based on certified FNMA workout rules. This ensures more quality case (loan) submissions.

The Clarifire application can receive many different data formats including bulk XML or XML web services. eMASON’s professional services team can provide you any customization needed.
