Web services allow different applications from different sources to communicate with each other without time-consuming custom coding, and because all communication is in XML, web services are not tied to any one operating
system or programming language. They are automated resources accessed via the Internet, but without human interaction or the need for a browser application. Web services are software-powered resources or functional components whose
capabilities can be accessed at an Internet URL. The use of XML provides applications the standardization needed to link up on-demand. In short, web services offer a behind-the-scenes automated mechanism for synchronizing your applications and data.

Web services eliminate duplicate data entry. Utilizing an end-user interface developed by eMASON, information is "mapped" from fields within one system to matching fields in another. This data map is then saved
and forms the basis of a process run (automatically handled when needed by a web service) which gathers the data from the old System, and sends it to the new System.
In addition to making your data globally accessible, Web Services also allow internal users or external clients to utilize your corporate back-end IT systems from anywhere on any device. Web services enable connections to all of
